Intense, red fruit aromas on the nose accompanied by spicy notes. On the palate, the wine shows powerful but elegant, and balanced tannins. Very long lasting finish as well as good aging potential.
Tasting Notes: Grapes are harvested from parcels of the vineyard with the best exposure and soil types and collected in baskets. They are transferred to the winery, where fermentation and maceration take place in stainless steel tanks for 20 days at a controlled temperature (24-28°C) with daily pumping over and delastage. After racking, the wine is immediately transferred with its fine lees into French oak barrels, where malolactic fermentationtakes place with weekly batonage over a period of 6 months. The oak ageing lasts 12 months, followed by 24-30 months of stainless steel tank ageing before bottling.
