Conti Formentini’s wine making history goes back to the early sixteenth century, yet Conti Formentini looks ahead and strives to marry tradition with innovation by making wines with a great regional typicity (without blending of grape varieties) but with a clean contemporary and modern style. Conti Formentini Carbernet Franc is made from 100% Cabernet Franc gown in the hills with the best exposure at an altitude of 200 in the commune of San Floriano del Collio.
Tasting Notes: The Cabernet Franc is a full and lucid ruby red color with an intense perfume of raspberry, amarena cherries, red fruits and sweet spices. On the palate it is dry, full and yet harmonic and engaging flavor with an elegant base of wild berry jam and grassy notes which become increasingly integrated with ageing.
