The Mezze Penne Rigate belong to the Penne family and differ from them to be shorter.
The term Penne refers, in the Italian language, to the goose pen that was used to write in the past, and that it was trimmed to obtain a thin-pointed tip. The size obtained by a smooth or striped dough of varying length has the characteristic diagonal cut of the writing pen.
Due to their reduced size, the Mezze Penne Rigate are perfect for mixing with seasoning, especially the most creamy, red tomato or white cheeses, or with the classic soups to taste with spoon.
