This salt from Cervia is harvested from one of the last remaining artisanal salt flats in Italy. Salt production at Cervia, a small town in Italy's Adriatic coast, dates back over 2,000 years. The name comes from the Latin "acervus" meaning white salt - it is affectionately known as "white gold".
This "white gold" is used to salt two famous products of Emilia Romagna: Parmigiano Reggiano cheese and Prosciutto di Parma.
You can use this sea salt to season vegetables, carpaccio, roasted meats, grilled fish, salads and more.
