It is one of the best red grape varieties that has found favourable locations in Oltrepò Pavese. After careful examination of the ripening of the grapes, the harvest is carried out manually. When the grapes arrive at the winery they are destemmed and crushed and the must obtained undergoes a fermentation process lasting about 10 days. The wine produced is left for 6-8 months in large, temperature-controlled, pressure-resistant steel vats, so that the wine develops its intense yellow colour and natural aromas. The wine will be bottled as soon as it is ready. Excellent as an aperitif, it accompanies hors d'oeuvres, seafood, delicate starters, fish and also goes well with pizza.
The "Ca' Montebello" Agricultural Estate stretches across the lower hills of the Pavia province with its vineyards flourishing on an imposing landscape. A family company, in the true sense of the word, that represents an enduring combination of hard work, characterised by the charisma and personality of the local people and a respect for both nature and the surrounding territory. One of Lombardy's best kept secrets.
